This year will be the fourth year that Gloucester City Mission has been running a Winter Shelter for the homeless and vulnerable in our city.

It costs £39,000 each year to run the shelter, this includes staffing, food, bills, insurance and general running costs. We are very grateful to our partners Emmaus Glos who support the shelter.

Last year saw 106 individuals come and stay at The George Whitefield Centre between December 1st and March 31st. We averaged 13 people per night and over the whole winter period provided over 1500 beds to those in need.

At the centre we offer beds, advice, showers, washing, machines and a clothes store.

We are looking for help to run this year's shelter and would like to ask for sponsors for beds for the night. £25 will sponsor a bed and cover the full costs of getting someone off the streets for a night.
