Read the story of how Gloucester City Mission came into being.
Gloucester City Mission (GCM) is an alliance of Christians working
together to share the love of Christ in the City of Gloucester.
At the City Mission we take "church" out of "the
Church" and on to the streets, into hospitals, prisons, college
and the Gypsy camp.
We have two teams involved with street work. They regularly
distribute food, drinks, Luncheon Vouchers and Gospels. When required,
they also provide sleeping bags, clothes and shoes.
Our volunteers come from different Christian backgrounds. All,
however, have a passion and enthusiasm to take the Gospel and the
love of Christ on to the streets with a real fervour.
